A very hardy Maple with small clusters of yellow flowers in spring followed by glorious golden foliage that lasts into the autumn. Resistant to pollution, this tree is excellent for urban planting. Water before planting. Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and twice as wide. Mix compost into the soil as you plant the tree. Water well and in dry weather until established. Apply an annual mulch of manure or compost around the base of the plant. Requires very little pruning. Remove diseased or crossing branches from late autumn to mid-winter.
